Everton have officially booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after securing a 3-1 victory against Newcastle. The knockout encounter saw Everton successfully overcome their opponents, ensuring their journey in the prestigious tournament continues as they advance into the competition's last eight.
The 3-1 scoreline underscored a decisive performance from Everton, who managed to see off the threat posed by Newcastle to take command of the fixture. By finding the net three times and limiting Newcastle to just a single response, Everton established a clear advantage that ultimately determined the final outcome of the tie.
In contrast, the result marks a disappointing conclusion to Newcastle's Carabao Cup campaign. Despite finding a goal during the contest, Newcastle were unable to contain Everton's attacking threat or bridge the deficit, with the 3-1 scoreline bringing a definitive end to their aspirations in the tournament.
